Window's 7 automaticly installs direct x 11..but my videocard(gforce 7600gs) doesn't support 10 or mayby higher..
do I need to install 9c or does directx 11 support the older Vcards?
So far so good no problems with the new o.s.7.
I'm running a pretty old system P4 3.00,1GB,Gforce7..with some adjustments in visual settings, like slide and fade out its running perfect..
More tips are welcome..

You only need to install DirectX 9 if an application requires it.

DirectX 11 includes all previous versions back to DirectX 5, unless they changed the way things work.

Uh yea, dx10 wasn't a backwards compat.. you run dx9 and dx10.. not sure if dx11 is on top of dx10 - or its split apart again.. ie, can the dx11 runtime run dx10 games?spivonious said:DirectX 11 includes all previous versions back to DirectX 5, unless they changed the way things work.
