Windows Live Street View?

Oh, Microsoft.  Implementing a Street View feature for Windows Live Maps, are we?  One of my friends snapped this picture on Elkhorn Ave in Norfolk, Virginia.



Does anyone know about this?

Wasn't local the name for the service way back when, when it was still in beta?

I didn't know that (beyond the fact that local.live.com still works) the name was still in use.

Personally I think the Birds-Eye view is much more useful, but it wouldn't be MS without copying the competitor.

Copying the competitor in an awkward way. Instead of using hybrid cars they use a huge SUV.

Anyway now that is out maybe Channel 9 can interview who is responsible for this?
