I guess I'm in the minority in saying: please, add a ribbon. The UI in VS2008 is at least as complicated as your average Office application, and finding things is difficult unless you've taken the time to master the current UI.

If everyone else in the world is all anti-ribbon, at least provide a way to completely disable toolbars; ugly, cryptic sets of 16x16 unlabeled icons just serve to get in my way.
