Anyone else had problems with Windows Live Messenger reliability lately? I have experienced problems where the recipient does not receive my messages and vice versa. Resending the messages twice or thrice can "solve" the problem. In the last time I've experienced degrading reliability with Messenger. It's quite unsettling to not know if a message is received or not - if it's lost into the void or not. Message receipts would be great to have, such that you could clearly see if a message had indeed been confirmed received - it could be as simple as a slight text recoloring. Best of all would be total reliability of course, so one wouldn't have to think about it - that it would itself have stronger verification. I've heard a couple of other people saying they've also experienced these problems.

I had the same issues but due to a not very reliable connection to the net.

I've sat opposite someone, sending them URLs via Messenger and watched the message fail.littleguru said:I had the same issues but due to a not very reliable connection to the net.

That's exactly what I'm experiencing (albeit with more distance). I've been in a voice conversation many times and sent a message and heard a "no" to the question "did you receive the message yet?". Then resending it a couple of times and boom, it goes through. So clearly some kind of reliability issue as far as I can see. I'm not sure if it's particularly tied to URIs, although there is some filtering going on with some URIs, notably the infamous "download.php" URIs subset, being filtered out.blowdart said:

The following message could not be delivered to all recipients:
Indeed. It's still filtered.

Same problem here, dropped messages. Happens more often with links and images, but it does happen to simple text too. And I think it gets worse when I'm in a voice conversation.
This can cause misunderstandings.... -
