twittered.

you all know i hate it...

but its coming up so much in business dealings - i had to join...
( @gnuarts) to actually understand it.

i STILL hate it.  ... but... i can see if you are a business, or a celebrity  then twitter could be great.

I cannot seem to express how this one app (concept)  has made me  not only use facebook less, but lose ..faith.. in social networking.. im posting less... participating less.

i still hope it goes away.

how many in the coffeehouse twitter (for real twitter?)  or do you just do it - cause its cool in biz right now

I have just found good use for it. As a means of backup for events, particularly from Blip.fm. In actual fact, I have much the same feelings about it but really it's easy to ignore if you don't care for that level of interaction or want to publicize up-to-the-second GPS accurate positional data on your whereabouts and what you're currently having for lunch or where it ended up.

Twitter is great!

I don't hate it..  it is what it is, and I find it pretty funny in many ways, but its just not something I need to follow(join).  I'm sure the social fad will be replaced with something else even more socially degenerating in time.

I'm not in-love with Twitter it is a means to an end as it's the preferred medium for people I want to stay in touch with right now.

I am sure that it's a trend thing and we will all be using something else in a few months/years but for now it's 140 char and an uncategoried mess.

It's a horrid tool for having conversations over, it's like the clock has gone back 15 years and we are all into Chat-Rooms again but in a way where more people can hear the pointlessness.

Twitter is a Marketeers dream as it's just about simple enough for them and Celebs to understand but as these guys are ultimately about self promotion it gives them a wonderful opportunity to talk about their favourite subject ... themselves! ... and it's the point!

The secret to using Twitter is use an application like TweetDeck to help you sift through the noise to where the signal is by giving you a slight hint of ease and organisation.
 
... at least the 140 char forces people to be concise unlike many rambling blog post.

I still think the Forum has a lot of potential, a little bit of organisation and a method of linking them all up and you will have a very powerful thing indeed.

Twitter is for the tl;dr crowd, not you guys.

My twitter's @JonathonW.  I'm not extremely active...  I follow a few select people (don't want to spend all day sifting through 200 people's updates for interesting stuff) and I don't post much.
