Ideas for Bing

The bing box should also be able to:

1) Enter an address "123 smith, troy, mi"  and have it pull up a live map.  Does not seem to do this yet.

2) Reverse phone number search seems to work for some numbers.  cool.

3) Commands:

      "@user1 Hi you." Send a tweet.

      "#248-555-1212 call me"  Send a text message.

      "2+2="   Math mode.

      "123 smith, troy, mi - 555 demille, lapeer, mi"  Get a directions map.

     Many others possible.  Could also make it Extensible with user or ISV plug-ins.  Add my own c# code   Now that adds some interesting possibilites.

Search for "2+2" on bing.

Some addresses do return a "Bing Map".  We are working on improving the coverage and know that we can make it better.  http://www.bing.com/search?q=2800+W+Big+Beaver+Rd%2C+Troy%2C+MI&form=QBRE

No search.  In this case it goes into "command" mode.  Just an example.  There are many other useful commands you could come up with.  Math is just one.

If you change your default search engine on IE8 to bing and try 2+2, it will tells you 2+2=4 in the drop list before you make a search. But it is rather strange that they make suggestion, but often don't include that in the result.
