Windows 7 and Vista Sync with WM6

Is it intentional to have Microsoft include Windows Mail, Windows Contacts, Windows Calendar and NOT have them sync with WM6 via ActiveSync? I believe Windows 7 is the future but...

Microsoft produced a good product in VIsta and then messed it up with "anti-features" technology and marketting. Here comes Windows 7 - faster, leaner and more intuitive than Vista - I am really ready to buy.... BUT WAIT - it does not sync with wm6. Oh Well!!!!

I am going to say this now and anyone from MS here should listen.... because I mean it and I do have sway over what a few companies do with their computing environments... Listen -

IF Microsoft does not solve this problem, see you when Windows 8 is ready. You are hurting your brand on the mobile platform as well as the desktop platform. Solve it and you can have my $$$ now for my personal 3 copies for home. Don't and lose (3 x N) copies.

What do you all think? Please let me know.

• Windows 7 does not have Mail, Contacts and Calendar.
• Windows Mobile Device Center 6.1 syncs your MAPI (Outlook) items to any WM device.
• Any WM device I've ever seen comes with a copy of Outlook for this very reason.

Thanks PaoloM for your quick response... Oh I forgot to say - I do not wish to run the copy of Outlook I got with my IPAQ 4705 on my new netbook, mac book and linux machines running crossover - worse I would not think of doing that to my brand spanking new Windows 7. That would be like putting shag carpet in a new Prius. I liked Windows Mail, Contacts and Calendar. Some of my customers hate Outlook - go figure.

 I also found that the feature/function of storing contacts are in Windows 7. Please look again. I found my vcf in C:\Users\{username}\Contacts.

Windows Live is excellent BUT IT DOES NOT sync with WM6. Oh... did I say I build computing environments, I do and I like telling customers they can have it the way they want it while I strive to use the tools to make it happen; on time, under budget and secure.  "I" - want - to sync my WM6 devices (IPAQ and HTC Tilt) with WHAT EVER Microsoft products I choose. Can you help me?

WM6 does sync certain things with Windows Live over an internet connection. I regularly sync my contacts and emails with it, but I would appreciate a more tight integration.

Yeh, agreed. I would really appreciate an Windows Live Calendar integration. Calendar is fundamental thing in every smartphone and it would be really great to have some integration with WM Contact, or an separated app.
