Microsoft has a twitter page: http://twitter.com/PDC09.  Conference date has been updated there; Oct 16 will be for pre-conference sessions.  Since MS was seeking feedbacks, I think PDC09 is likely to go on as schduled.  I just hope the detail for registration is avaliable soon so I can make decision on attending and get necessary funding....
