This is a very common misunderstanding/confusion, something that I personally witness A LOT. And I don't know enough about your qualifications to realize you know this or not, I just know that a lot of people have this idea that .NET and C# are on and the same. But they are not interchangeable. It's kind of like people confusing pointers and arrays in C.
More people seem to have that confused then people who do not.
