Charles, last week Jamie asked about hit count on C9 for a period of time, which you supplied.
Would it be possible to get a breakdown of browser usage for C9? I am not looking for ammunition to get the 'undefined' bug fixed - honest.

I'd also like to see if a disproportionate number of visitors are originating from the British Isles and the Indian Subcontinent.
....There seems to be a lot of brits here -

Sure. -
Perhaps it could be done automatically (i.e. stats.aspx reading log files)? Cache it for a certain time period, so the log files aren't loaded every time someone views stats.

Which post was that? Can't seem to find it.

Hopefully there will be more stats made available (by country, browser, OS etc).

Just curious, but why all the sudden interest in site statistics?

I wonder why the big number for unknown? Perhaps it is IE7, or Linux browsers (not likely)?

No. Unknown is most likely do to the fact that over 60% of all visits to Channel 9 are done via RSS-only requests...

Another high up unknown (Longhorn?). Interesting that there are Windows 3.1 visitors - I wonder what the site looks like to them? More than Windows ME - better OS?
. Or RSS aggregators?

Wow...Netscape sure has a high share of the volume.

I've been interested (myself) because I routinely have to look at "hit reports" for the intranet sites I work on and so for me (at least) it is out of statistical curiousity. But I'm guessing with the recent "community projects" starting up over the last couple of weekends there is probably some interest as to how that has affected the traffic here. It seems to me that there has been a surge recently in the number of posts and the number of "guest online" seems like it is consistently higher as of late. I've also noticed that the topics on the front page of the coffeehouse are moving so fast lately that even if you come back after a couple of hours things have changed quite a bit. It is almost approaching the speed of a slow-moving chat room at times. -

C
So RSS seems to be really popular (far more than I thought it would be)? Scoble must be pleased.
