Perhaps you should have links instead of loading them all at once? You could save bandwidth then.
Even better - use thumbnails, and below the thumbnail have links (1024x768, 1280 X 768, 1600 x 1200) -

Yeah, the 1024 and 800 links were broken. You should be able to click them now.
sbc, are you talking about on my blog entry? I'm confused because that's how I have it setup. There is thumbnail 320 pixels wide and then links below linking to the larger sizes. Are you using some browser that downloads all the links in advance or something?
