I've been using Microsoft optical mouse for exactly 4 (!) years now... It still works. I've been throwing it on the floor, spilling coffee on it... it just works. Possibly the best thing Microsoft ever made.
Just a feedback... ![]()

I invented that mouse.

yea, they are pretty sweet. i have had mine for about 3 years. the last optical mouse i had died after about 1.5 years.
-
I'll have to disagree with you on the best thing Microsoft ever made. I say Microsoft BOB is the best thing ever made...

-
Mice are SO old school.
Real men use a tablet (and I don't mean Tablet PC). -
Yes,
I can fully agree with you. I've been using my mouse for several years and it still works!
-
Are you guys working on a recargeable optical mouse? that's just one of my peeves and why I'm stuck on my Logitech Mx700.

Hey, now! Bob wasn't all that bad (all twelve people who bought it liked it!). Most people don't realize that Bob actually contained some pretty innovative AI related to productivity. Out of the development of Bob came Clippy, which evolved into "wizards" in all our products, especially in Office and Works. If I recall, it was one of the first working examples of contextual help.
-
Im going to have to stress that Clippy was the worst idea. From any company. Ever.
-
Hey, I donated to Clippy's farewell party and got a really nice card from Clippy. I was ever so happy that he left and found a real job somewhere else so that he would never annoy me again in Office again ever.
As far as Optical...The PS2/USB Microsoft Optical Mouse was one of the best inventions by Microsoft ever (although based on a prior PC Bus Optical mouse by a company that is no longer around). But they really mangled the Bluetooth Optical Mouse pretty badly. Exchanged three of them so far and it still doesn't work right. Ah well. One of these days they'll get it right.
Speaking of getting it right, it would be much easier to input stuff into the computer if I could just tell the computer to do it and it would understand me? Oh wait a minute...they're http://research.microsoft.com/research/topics/ working on it already... -
MS Mice are totally roxor

Wasn't Bob project managed by Bill Gates' now wife? Totally irrelevant I know, but a little useless fact for you. Sleep well tonight knowing that I am sure!
