Hello Evok

Thanks for the reply.

I agree. But they are saying it won't be there with the release for Christmas.

There has to be a problem. Security, patent issues, strategic planning? Do they want to get the Sync Framework, Azure setup too?  Do they just not have the manpower to look at the details because they are trying to get out the current features?

Thanks

Dave K

For a Christmas release the retailers have to place their orders in the next 90 days.  Microsoft not being in the hardware game has to have the OS finished or very close for the phone manufacturers to make up their mind to adopt the OS then do their inevitable tinkerinmg i.e. not all LG phones (identical model) are the same if they come from different carriers there are always added and deleted functions unless mandated on a take it all or leave it license.  Then it's tooling up time, marketing campagns to coordinate.

DaveK, with you having an enterprise mission critical environment you are severly limited in the device and carrier you have to select and some of this might be geographically dependant as well.  You well understand the limitations you are involved with.. Surpirsed that blackberry never entered your discussion or anddroid platforms.

You may have to create a new frontend for each device that can work with the backend (server) or go totally custom i.e. the UPS (the courier) pad route.

Personal prejudice or preference has no place in the business.
