"Just Google It!"

Is anyone else really tired of searching for information and running across threads discussing it only to find a great question answered with "Just google it!?" It is really hurting the signal to noise ratio and unfortunately there is nothing the search providers can do (since once you've clicked the link you've already helped its rank).

I really wish search engines allowed me to "downvote" something I have just clicked on.

Google had a voting system in there SearchWiki labs feature but now it only allows you to star search results.

I seem to remember being able to add your own rating with a pagerank gadget thingie on google toolbar.

I quit installing it once IE7 (or ie8, I forget) came out with the search provider bar...
