I thought that the Panorama control was a bit too heavy (both from the CPU usage and the screen real estate used) for this app and the Pivot control provides enough functionality to switch beweet panels.
Isn't the pivot more of a filter control? Whereas the Panorama is more of a showcase.
The pivot control is what powers the Outlook app I believe.
I'd say the Panorama would make a nicer experience, but having never seen a real device I have no idea what it's like in real use.
I'm hoping it's good because I'm planning on using it for 2 other apps I'm making!
I don't think I'd replace them with a pivot, if the official Panorama control turns out to be a bad choice I think I'd go with single screen lists.
