My belated comment: I don't often post here because I only want to post when I have some sort of unique value to contribute.  I imagine many other MS employees are in the same boat -- we're experts in one or two areas, and while we'd be happy to contribute to discussions about those areas, we don't want to add low value posts elsewhere.

I find it very hard to keep track of when my areas of expertise are the subject of a discussion on c9.  I've asked the c9 team for a PuSub-like experience, where I can subscribe to a feed for any post or comment that contains the word "Longhorn", for example.  If I could easily get a daily RSS update of where on ch9 my technologies were being discussed, I think I'd be more likely to jump in and add my comments.
