MONAD beta 1 has been put on Betaplace today. Windows 2000 users just follow the old instructions to get it to work on Win2k. They now have a 64 bit version for you opteron guys. You cant use firefox to fetch
the beta, you have to use IE or Netscape 8. Thats okay though, they are better browsers.

MSH is the console of the gods, perhaps? -
Slow as hell on my K6-II 300MHz (Windows 2000). Nothing amazing.

Nothing amazing?!?! Well, that's your opinion.
I REALLY like it
It's so much more complete then the earlier build (sept'04). And so much cool stuff to check out. Cmdlet tab-completion is here as well, making it easier to use. Btw, did you read the "Getting Started" guide?
Started to create my little own MSH host last night

Well, I didn't mean MSH sucks as a product but it's performance sucks _badly_.
It's really nice that Windows gets new feature (which should be done many years ago).
Yes, maybe it's amazing if you are a Windows admin.

It acts just fine, what you're noticing is the JIT compiling code you haven't run yet. You could go fix this easily by running ngen on its stuff.

I have been using it since the first beta and I must say, it is awesome.
