*walks into Coffeehouse, orders a Cafe Mocha, and sits down*
Hello everyone, my name is Adam Kinney, and I'm a new Dev on the C9 team. I've been watching the videos since the beginning, but haven't been as involved in the forums.
So I'd like to ask, in one sentence; how would you describe Channel9?

Hey Adam, I hadn't heard you'd landed a dev job. Congrats!
I'll leave "full time" C9'ers to explain what it is, but I just wanted to say congrats! -
Welcome back Adam, you were here a few weeks ago when someone bumped an old thread with a comment you had left.
Any chance you will create a XAML UI for C9? -
Thanks Jeremy

Yes, of course, I'd love to do that! -

Bonus point to anyone who can remember what the above used to refer to! -
It's great to have Adam on board. We will innovate this year.

It's like one of those bug zappers you put in the backyard during summer. Thousands of bugs flying around, and every once in awhile one goes "zzzzzt".

channel 9 is a place for amateur programmers to talk and download professional videos from 'great' MS.

I was soooo tempted to put up a Channel 9 "Hall of Fame" Wiki today. I almost did. In fact, maybe I will do that right now because of this thread. Kind of like a tour. Maybe with a famous poster section (including Obane, Beer28, Keskos and others), C9 classic moments (like Beer28 DOS'ing a machine), and maybe some other notable "oddities". Oddities like the Echo Chamber which gets a new post about once...every...week...or...so.
Edit: Wiki...started.

That has to be the most accurate description yet

Channel9 is the website that partially works with Firefox, and totally works with Internet Explorer. Channel9, also, is the website where w3bb0 posts his insight on web standards, it's where Charles brags about Microsoft, and where Jamie displays his art. Channel9 is the place where religion isn't welcome, and it isn't shoved away, it's a place where peace and harmony can not find room to stay. It's the creator, the almighty, the God, per-say, of cyberspace and Microsoft's internal affairs. It's the site where software is dicussed throughly, nothing can slip through its cracks, windows software, old DOS software, and even Linux software, which is developed for and by quacks.
In short, this website kicks a$$!
Channel9 is the site that supports and denies open source, it's full of opinions and also full of dorks.
