So those of us paying out own way this year would love to know if there are any cheap(er) hotels that are close enough to the conference hotels that we can still use the bus service.
If you know the LA area and can offer some advice I would really appreciate it. Internet access would be a nice bonus.
[I already reserved my nights at the LA athletic club so I will have a room one way or another but $130 a night really stretches the old budget]

I’m planning on renting a car. You can easily rent a car with the money you can save by staying at a cheaper hotel/motel and still save a good amount of money. Plus you have the advantage of having transportation for other tings during the week.
