Sooo... A couple of months later:

I've bought myself two Multimedia keyboards (the black non-Natural ones) because typing on them is so quiet. Somehow, it's still loud enough to annoy my girlfriend, but I'll deal with her... (shifty eye movements).

The FLOCK key really needs some method of being able to remember its state, if it's going to stay on future keyboards at all - even if it's something in Intellipoint that saves the key state before shutdown, or something.

My primary use case is games. Games don't use features like "F2 is Undo" Smiley

I've made up for the lack of a USB hub with a 2M USB extension cable, and an unpowered slimline hub perched next to it on the desk.

I really, really, really, really, really, really like the Delete key being so big. Now, I never hit the insert key when going for Delete, because it's not there!

It can make some game key layouts less intuitive, but not often.

Also on the funky game layouts front, I got Joint Operations recently, which comes with a 102-key standard function key layout keyboard overlay thingie. Perhaps we can publish "print your own" keyboard overlays for the weirder shapes on microsoft.com? Smiley

I tried the Wireless mouses, but they're just too heavy compared to my superfine ultralight ultraprecise notebook mouse, so I'm sticking with my at-first-hated-but-now-utterly-indispensable notebook mouse (I call him "Lee Thal") for sniping.
