We just woke up to the awful news in London. Our thoughts are with all of those affected.

I've got family in that area. We've been able to contact most of them, and everyone is ok. A few people who were planning to go to London this morning have decided to stay where they are in Paris instead.

Senseless killing.

So uncivilized.

This is horrible. Senseless and totally despicable.

When people perpetrate things like this, they forfeit the right to call themselves human.

Londoners, you are in my thoughts.

Speaking as someone from Britain I would like to point out that we don't really need all of this 'prayer' stuff and over heartfelt dedication. Churlish as it might seem to turn it down, it's far better to move on, even now strait after.

I should think this global attention will last a few days and then everything will be back to normal. The act that took place has already overshaddowed two positive global events - The G8 talks and by sapping the celebratory feeling of the olympic bid. Why go on about it, we just don't need it.

I really don't think that's why people have come here anyway.

Again, much appreciated but the culture difference between the UK and US leaves us less thirsty for a patriotic outpoor. As for the PM, well he means it, but what else is he to say.

As far as Londoners are concerned and Britain as a whole, we would rather weather the difficulty for as least time as possible, without all the extra bumf that seems to follow events these days.

Well, all I can say is, terrorist are the most illiterate humans God ever brought into this world, he must have accidentally pressed the button and they were created so there was no turning back.

I agree with moofish, it's just another in a long line of bombings in London and the UK.  You never saw this much fuss over the IRA bombings and they killed a lot more, so why start now?

When we have something the scale of the blitz going on, then we'll get concerned.

Yeah. I think we need to clear the streets, fix some stuff and move on. Nothing is gained by dwelling on the fact it happened. Let's just try and make sure it isn't so easy next time.
