Hi all, I'm going to the ALM Summit next week, any pointers where a geek can have some fun in Redmond?
Also what kind of stuff sells the Microsoft Store inside the Campus?, I want to buy some t-shirts and if possible the infamous Cup<T> (as seen in E2E with Anders).

Fun? How do you define fun?
Company store sells t-shirts, laptop bags, umbrellas, all sorts of stuff, fluffy blankets, Microsoft branded hand sanitizer (really). Not sure if that cup is still there though.

@blowdart: fun as SFW fun, places you must see, where to have a beer, etc., also I was planing on buying a Samsung Slate 7 so advice on electronic stores would be nice.

Hmm there's not a lot to do in Redmond. Bellevue has shopping areas, and beer. Must sees? I'd have said they are all in Seattle itself Space Needle being the obvious tourist destination.
If your hotel is in Bellevue rather than Redmond you should be ok for beer and food and shopping

Off the top of my head, and in no order
- Space Needle (Seattle)
- Experience Music Project/Science Fiction Museum (right next to Space Needle)
- Pike Place Market (ride the Monorail to downtown from Space Needle)
- Take a tour of Seattle by land and sea on a Duck
- Get some coffee at the original Starbucks store (in Pike Place Market)
- Go to the Seattle waterfront and take a harbor tour
- Museum of Flight at Boeing Field in Seattle
- Take a Boeing Factory Tour in Everett and go in the "World's Largest Building" (30 miles north of Seattle)
- Museum of Glass in Tacoma (an hour or so south of Seattle)
- Wine tour in Woodinville (7 miles north of Redmond) including Redhook Beer, Chateau Ste Michelle Winery, some Micro Whiskey, and some really fine food (reservations required).
- Take a float plane tour on Kenmore Air in Seattle.
There are lots of outdoors adventures in the mountains and on the water in this area. Snow has been falling pretty hard in the mountains, and some of the ski areas my be opening as early as this weekend. You can rent skis and take lessons at all of the areas. The nearest to Redmond is The Summit at Snoqualimie, about an hour drive from Redmond. Though this is the lowest of all of the ski areas and will be the last to open.
On the water, you can take an all day or overnight trip to the San Juan Islands or Victoria, B.C., Canada (passport required for Victoria)

There is a large FRY's (Computers and Gadgets) not far from the Airport - thats probably the best place to look for gadgets & gear.

But the most amazing thing about the place? Every shop you go into has Scott Guthrie in it! No joke! (OK, not actual Scott Guthrie but there are an awful lot of people there who have worked extremely hard to master his speech inflections ...)
If you are lucky you might get a voucher to spend in the Company Store. Best value is software (hardware isn't discounted very much as there isn't that much profit on it in the first place).
