I have a smartphone but I still write down shopping lists and addresses I'm going to. And I use notebooks in meetings. Paper ones.

That is pretty annoying. But can you imagine how annoying it is when someone in a public place (like a train or bus) thinks he is cool by using Siri? I actually had to endure this once.

iPhone User: "Siri, does talking to you in public make me look cool?"

Siri: "No, and quit embarrassing me. And yourself."

No I think you missed the point. Doing it on an iPad is a bit of overkill and makes it impractical because of its size. Which means the person is probably doing it to show off.

Which is why I think Siri is just a gimmick. The only place it makes sense is at home and then I would not even want to use it in front of my family. It is just too annoying to everyone else within earshot. So I find claims that Siri is a "paradigm shift" to be quite ridiculous. It has some initial wow factor but after people realize how impractical it is in real life they will just not use it that much, if at all.

When it comes to using voice interaction on a device, the only time I've found it to be useful at all was via bluetooth while driving. Anything else is public electronic masturbation.

Anywho, I love using OneNote for groceries and a 'todo' list for chores and stuff I need to get done.  Hell, I have 3 different work outs that I do and they're listed as tables in one-note so I can use the phone and keep track.

Goofy, yes, but I just don't have the memory cells that I used to have.  Plus, my printer broke, and I"m trying to see if I can make it 6 months without one.  Most of the stuff I printed was a waste.
