Annoying Flash download page.

Adobe Flash has one of the worst download page and I cannot download Flash right now. Why can't they just give me a robust setup.exe file for me to click on? I mean, come on, any 7 years old can do it. But, they choose to do strange things and blocking my download. They have done that before and now again. Stop doing crapy detection that doesn't work, just let me download the file. %^$#$%&^*%$^.

Had to Bing the offline installer, finally found a proper download page in Adobe site. Finally I have Flash now.

It's possibly also true to say that any 7yo can find the .exe download page.

I have not done much Flash development but the one time I had to do something, I needed a previous version. So from the download page, there was a link to download older versions. The problem was that as soon as the older version ran, it said there was a newer version available and refused to continue unless the newer version was installed.

As I said I'm not a Flash expert so maybe I just missed a memo somewhere but I found it strange that they offered the older versions but those refuse to run because there is a newer version available.

Maybe there is a registry setting or something but it certainly wasn't obvious when I tried to get it to work.

Yes, any 7 years old can find the link as long as the forum post they found is still useful. They made a brand new special page for Win8CP IE10 where there is no link, just say you should "enble" their Flash magically without installing it.

If you really don't understand, do a clean Win8CP install and try get your IE to install IE.

I dislike this type of spoof. Same with C9 registration jail when they keep redirecting me to registeration page when it keeps thinking I am someone else. (And obviously I logged off other people's account and logged in my own account in Hotmail, C9 still thinks I am someone else). Stuff like this is very irritating because there is not PlanB.

Windows 8 already has Flash and it will be updated with WindowsUpdate. You don't need to install anything.

But, it really doesn't matter, the link to a master download page should always be provided as a simple fall back option. Just my opinion.

But that makes it harder for them to slip in the google toolbar crap with checkbox below the fold.
