Are there "Real" Windows Phone 8 users with no problems?

I just bought me a Windows Phone 8 Lumia 920 yesterday.

It has frozen 5 times in about 5 hours of use.  I have to soft reset it each time.  I have installed very few apps, and each time it freezes I am doing something different.

I had hoped to develop a Windows Phone 8 game and use my phone as a test platform.

But If it is so unstable then I can't keep this as my actual phone.

I am deciding between taking it back for a refund or asking for a new one (maybe it is just my phone).  But looking online I have seen that this is not an isolated problem.

So, I thought I would ask if there are any success stories out there?  Anyone have a Windows Phone 8 (preferably a Lumia 920) that is working well?  If so do you really "use it" or are you just doing internet searches, email and phone calls?

Lumia 920 owner here, using it for almost two weeks now. No lockups at all for me. In fact, I haven't had to turn it off since I bought it.

That thread says its the W8Phone OS, not the hardware.

Regardless what phone, HTC or Nokia, it's a W8P issue, apparently...

EDIT: If you have Skype installed, uninstall, clear IE history, and soft reset. This is a fix for some...

I have had no lockups or problems running since Build conference.  I don't have Skype.

@Vaccano: There are several on the answers. site who say they've had no problems at all, just likt TexasToast.

I got into an infinite loop where my W7.5P was constantly rebooting after it shutoff due to low battery. I had to remove the battery to stop the restarts...

920 here. Check my other thread about complaints. But no forze for sure. I did failed to reconnect to internet even though it says I have LTE. I had to reboot to get my internet back. Didn't complaint that on my thread because I am still evaluating it.

BTW, I removed all AT&T apps except the one cheching data usage. And I removed Nokia Map, Nokia Drive, and most of OEM crap. You can try that first.

Used my 920 fairly heavily since Build. No lockups, reboots, hangs. I used Skype a couple of times with no issues.

Mine locked up once ... I have not had any problems since, except my front camera lens somehow got all dusty, and now the proximity detection turns off the screen and unless I hit the power on/off and catch the speaker Phone button, I can't do anything but talk during calls. PITA, but should be easily fixed, once I find the right screwdriver.  

I've had mine (Lumia 920) for a little more than a week. No freezing or lockups. It does get hot if I use Nokia Drive or play games. Other than that, I've been just enjoying my 3-day battery life under normal usage.

What did you do? Take your phone in a sandstorm? Grow dust particles using some unheard of process?

@Vaccano: I have the Nokia 920 that was handed out during Build, and haven't had any issues with it myself.

The biggest issue I had was when I got it set up for AT&T, I couldn't figure out how to turn on the cellular data connection (I could dial out, receive calls, or turn on WiFi and then everything would work).  The fix being to select AT&T in the Settings/Cellular menu then selecting AT&T LTE2 in Settings/Access point menu.  Really should have just read the paperwork they handed out detailing those exact steps.

I do the standard emailing (really like linked inboxes), surfing, texting, twitter, I use OneNote extensively (really like the sync to my Surface)  and I'm often in Baconit (Reddit app).

I have used Skype, Nokia Drive, and the "Find my phone" without issue.

I currently have 18 background tasks running, the battery saver featured turned off and I haven't run into any issues with the phone not lasting the full day and beyond with the caveat that I do plug it in to AC randomly when I actually get to sit at my desk uninterrupted by meetings.

I had the same issue where multimedia messages would not work etc.  

So what did you exactly pick for ATT.  I had 3 choices

AT&T 3G, AT&T LTE 1 and AT&T LTE 2  ..   for MMS

then for cellular provider it has AUTO and then a dropdown with 3 AT&T texts .. which AT&T is it ?  I just left auto.

On the phone side it has been working fine.   I just had initial setups which I am not sure are right.  Also AT&T does not recognize the phone so I cannot get full LTE turned on.   (the IMEI number is invalid -- not a Nokia phone)

I currently have "AT&T LTE 2" as the selection under Settings/Access Points.

For the Cellular provider it was a bit weird in that the first time I went in there I saw the same thing you did, 3 values of "AT&T". But after doing that change in Access points when I went back I only saw one "AT&T" value and selected that.

It's probably still calibrating. My battery ran out in 1 day initially...but after the first three times I let it run out, it better understood the capacity of the battery.

Also, Nokia Drive is a battery killer...make sure you stop the route or it will continue to find directions in the background.
