Please excuse my paraphrase-- <em>desktop metro is like putting a bikini on a fat dude.</em> There have been a lot of improvements made to the core of Windows, with Windows 8. 		<description><![CDATA[<p>@<a href="/Forums/Coffeehouse/Article-The-MS-Strategy#c6233f784c9e442879c9fa03b0139af4e">1001001</a>:I'm also a 80's, but I don't agree with a few things.</p><p>I like e-mail over Facebook, Twitter or any instant messaging clients. With email I can think half or even a few days before replying. With the others replying messages a few days ago made you look weird. Keep an eye on status of others make you feel tired and attention deficit.</p><p>And my home still has landline phone because that could have been&nbsp;the only thing working when there's emergency (those phone lines provides seperate power that's independent to building's power system).</p><p>Desktop isn't going to die as long as there are still&nbsp;game makers not interested in making game for game consoles. However, it makes sense some people would like to see their TV merge with Desktop to become media center that can serve as game console <img src='http://ecn.channel9.msdn.com/o9/content/images/emoticons/emotion-4.gif?v=c9' alt='Tongue Out' />.</p>]]></description>
