Heads up, that Dimbleby Lecture is tonight on BBC1, makes good on polio promise:
I think this deserves a better quote:
"Money has no utility to me beyond a certain point. Its utility is entirely in building an organisation and getting the resources out to the poorest in the world."
He's certainly on a path with good karma.
While I admire the work, I have concerns about dragging 'god' into it. The whole thing risks becoming messy and losing focus - who's particular deity are we talking about, and how does that sit with people who have a different one?

I don't care who's god it is, if invoking his name helps Bill Gates eradicate Polio, it's a good thing.

Agreed. I've listened to interviews with Warren Buffet also on these topics and I admire how they've decided to try to help the world with their resources. Polio is a good choice because it's one where we know how to do it, we just have to execute it (as opposed to say, AIDS where there is no vaccine or cure making it an unknown).
Sorry, saying you're on a mission from god is only cool if you're the Blues Brothers.
