C9 guys/gals don't walk around with a camera anymore?

All of the videos now are either shows like Silverlight TV/Ping, maybe one conversation with someone at a conference, or hour long videos on advanced computer algorythms that 3 people here understand.

Where are the vidoes where you walked around and just chatted...one of the favs around here was when you walked around campus with Bill Hill for an hour just shooting the sh!t. Chatting about everything under the sun.

We miss those vids.

As an example of one, we've been waiting for years for videos with teams like the Windows Media Player team, or the Zune software team. Chat with the project lead for half an hour, see what's up. Ridiculous that access hasn't been granted.

More guerilla tactics required!  Ambush people in the corridor and demand to know what they're up to (ask for the elevator pitch on their current project).

The last time we had a video like that was when we got to see Clint's office around the time they where working on the new studio etc.  but except for that one it's been a while since it's happened.

I watched the latest Silverlight video and thought: excellent production quality. The actual content in that particular episode was not so much of interest to me in particular but I kind of like the nice production quality which will be helpful in absorbing whatever is being said; there's also been some excellent "studio interviews" with Corrinne Yu and a Windows/Direct3D architect (I forget his name), not to mention Beckman..

Yuri's talk was interesting and I also didn't find it hard to understand for the most part; and it's kind of a priviledge to get someone like that to talk to this pragmatic crowd.

That said, I also appreciate these office and hallway meetups, when possible and when someone is interesting in sharing something to the world. The first whiteboard videos with Brian and Erik on Rx are epic.

OK.  Let's get a petition going to get Charles a trip to Kauai.  We need some more Bill Hill around here!

And Beckman has already been missing in action for a long time.  We never got the promised super-project reveal.  Back to patiently waiting ...

@Charles:See if you can get him to mashup the sea, reading, and typography into one intertwined conversation. His mind works in interesting ways, I don't think it's beyond possibility.

I am very much with this. I am dying to see a media player and/or zune team interview.  I had requested one way back in 2009 and I know there was a lenghty thread this past summer to try to get them on. http://channel9.msdn.com/Forums/Coffeehouse/470880-Media-Player-team

Its so dissapointing some teams choose not to embrace the C9 community. They could get alot of feddback from this community.

Now if only the zune team could figure out a way to successfully market thier amazing HD device. I got a buddy at work to buy one to replace his aging ipod by just showing him how great the zune software is and the fact the device puts out 720p througyht the dock.

  No problem, just pulling your leg.  We realize Brian has other things to do than entertain us.  We just want to see more of him!
