Seems like C9 is having a problem again where newer posts are lost/temporarily gone. I've seen a few threads now where that has happened. I've even seen a new thread completely disappear.
Anyone know what is going on?

Seeing the same thing. Some posts and a thread from last night are missing.
I think the SyncGerbil fell off his wheel again.
Even my post in the feedback forum about posts vanishing has vanished ![]()
@PerfectPhase: yes, the sync gerbil fell off the wheel over the weekend. At this point he still isn't back, but I've pointed everyone back at the north central US server and am manually sync'ing the database changes. Not a great solution, but this is what happens when we are dogfooding technology that is still in CTP ![]()
now I'm getting 'System Error' on home page and browse page, looks ok after clearing the cookies, but same error happens after login.
Site is actually faster for me now ![]()
One solution would be;
Drop the database, use table storage, set up queues on each instance to receive mutations.
Sync has always been flakey, doubt they are ever going to solve all the issues. Duplicate contacts in exchange anyone?
ok the first Browse page works now, but the home page and Browse Page 2 still give me System Error
@Mattus: Exchange uses ESE, not SQL Server. And what you're proposing is how synchronisation systems work anyway. @Duncan: what does Sync Framework offer that SQL Server Replication doesn't? I'd have thought that SQL Azure (which you're using, right?) would support that.
@W3bbo: duplication is an inherent problem with any synchronisation.
They are using azure data sync to sync their databases around the globe. Its the new product from the sync team.
I've sync framework extensively in the past, I think its the way forward. Away from client server, just applications running all over the place syncing their data.
@W3bbo: SQL Server replication is not available at the moment, but the feature set (that we are concerned with) would be similar.
well, today Browse page 1 & 2 are OK, but Home page and Browse page 3 still shows System Error for me, I think its related to some specific video, and its on page 3 today
