The only useful video I saw, was of a doctor controlling his PC with his hands, which must be kept sterile. In that context it's useful, as it saves him the need to type and wash his hands afterwords. Otherwise, IMO these video look lame. But having never tried it, I may be wrong.

When I was using it in a course project last semester, I manually scaled raw hand tracking deltas to make it easier to adjust for a user's distance. I haven't looked at the SDK yet, but do you not have the ability to calibrate the tracking environment (or get environment data from the sensor to be used for app level adjustments)?
