Communicator 2005 - AT&T U-Verse Issues

Hello,

I have been using Office Communicator 2005 from my home, without connecting to the VPN, for several years now without a problem. However, I recently changed my home wireless network to AT&T U-Verse and since then I have not been able to connect to the Communicator from my home unless I login to my company's VPN. I am able to connect to Communicator in other areas such as airports, hotels etc.

It appears to me that AT&T U-Verse's firewall settings are blocking Communicator. And when I called AT&T, they were not very helpful.

Does anyone know how to get over this problem?

@vsuravarapu: Does Communicator 2005 use UPnP? Because the router that AT&T gives you, as a u-verse subscriber, does not support UPnP.

@JoshRoss: Josh, thanks once again. But, it is also interesting that when I log into my company's VPN thru the same AT&T router, I can use Office Communicator. Kind of weird. But then, my technical knowledge is not strong.
