I felt like this the other day when I was talking to this guy who was trying to convince me to not bother with all this SQL Server and .NET stuff and just do everything in FIleMaker. We did not end up understanding each other in the end.

It was kind of a cool episode except it made no sense. :/ If a species had a language of phrases, they'd need to understand the words that made up those phrases.

One of my favourite episodes.
Wonder if it's possible that a culture could go through a disaster, and the as the civilisation is rebuilt the original meaning of the words would be lost, bit like cockney rhyming slang.
Whats really sad is that when I saw the title "Darmok and Jalad at Tanagra", I knew exactly what this was in reference to, the Star Trek episode.
