I guess I am behind the times.  Maybe they saw this issue before I did.

Is there an announcement to this effect?  Or was it just a something they started doing?

Even if they have formally dropped the name, it is still used.  I got to thinking about this after looking at the post made yesterday on the Visual Studio Blog.  That post talks of debugging a "Metro style app" really meaning a Win RT app.
