I've finally got some spare time coming, so I've sorted out a copy of VS2012 Express for Win8 development but I would like a free, good (waffle-free) on-line tutorial to get me started. Anyone got any recommendations? Video tutorials are my personal preference. I've searched through Channel 9 because I was convinced that I had seen at least one introduction tutorial, but I can't seem to find any.

http://dev.windows.com is the best place, generally, to find development resources for Windows Store Apps. The documentation refresh is quite extensive with more excellent refreshes to come. MSDN has been reimagined in this regard
