Type "clear type" into the search bar of Control Panel. In "adjust ClearType text" you can disable ClearType for the entire system if you're having problems with it.

If you want the "old ClearType" back you can tune Clear Type in the same dialog, just click "Next" and it'll take you through a couple of options to fine tune it.
