@W3bbo:doesn't look comfortable, except the plush.
-
Nice. Much better than my chair.

@W3bbo:Looks awesome. ... Wow... pretty expensive. Where did you get it from?
-
I have exactly the same one, except not chromed legs ... love it, absolutely love it.

Is anyone else having problems with the concept of w3bbo and a plethora of cuddly toys?

@blowdart: That chair is $600+. That's a nice price!

I got my Dad's old comfy chair when he got himself a new one.

We have aerons at work and they are damn comfortable. One of the best chairs i've ever had the pleasure of sitting upon.
-
And I though I was special getting my new $50 faux leather Office Depot chair. Then again with the things I do to it, it's probably better that way. Congrats W3bbo!

nice chair!

I got an Aeron on loan once. Horribly uncomfortable it was. The salesman suggested I should try the larger size, which I found improbable since I'm average size for an adult male (6' 85Kg) and if I need the largest size Aeron, what are the rowing champions at the investment banks sitting in?
It's also bizarrely designed. I like to recline at my desk and for no fathomable reason the Aeron pivots right at the front so when you recline you disappear backwards away from the desk and head towards the floor. You can't work like that. Literally every other desk chair I've used that reclined pivoted just behind centre so you lean backwards but maintain your height.

If I had the choice, I wouldn't sit on anything else. Damn fine chairs that have probably saved my back (along with regular exercise).

I currently have one of these: http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/20103101 It is very comfortable. Also like the headrest. Unfortunately it isn't very well constructed - after a year the tilt mechanism was having issues and the armrests are peeling. That being said, I could buy five of these for one Aeron...

I don't think anything from IKEA is designed to last. I think Aerons are guaranteed for twelve years.

FWIW, my parents' home office is pretty much 100% IKEA and it's all in good condition, despite now being almost exactly 10 years old now. Only niggles are how the colour of the wood veneer fades (or rather, darkens) with exposure to sunlight, and the worktops of the desks have developed a series of minor dents and scratches, thanks to being made of softwood.
My Aeron chair has a 12 year warranty, yes.

I have a Mirra and all I can say is you would have to rip my chair from my dead cold hands! Love it!
