Over a week ago I got a message on my HTC Trophy, that there was an update for my phone. I've started trying back then to update my phone. I'd plug it into my PC, up pops the Zune software and it starts the update. It gets to step 7 of 10, 81% completed, when it just fails with an error C1010007. I've been trying, with @WinPhoneSupport to get this resolved, but still haven't gotten it fixed. I don't know what sort of condition my phone is in. I've been able to use it, but now it's stuck in the download page, although its doing nothing at all. (Waiting over an hour with no response, to me, qualifies as nothing at all.) I'd love to know if anyone else on this forum has an HTC Trophy and are experiencing the same problems? I think this update is something from HTC.

Take it back to HTC and ask them to correct the problem.
I've done so wich my Throphy, it was back within a week.
Or if you dont want to do that, back up your stuff, perform factory reset and try the update again.

I got an error applying the Mango update to my LG Quantum until I plugged the USB cable into the back instead of the front. Shouldn't make any difference, but it did. It's worth trying.

I have tried 3 different USB ports, including a USB hub, which has its own power supply, separate from my PC's power supply. I've tried USB ports on the front of my PC and the back of my PC. I've tried 2 different USB cables. I've tried 2 different PCs with the Zune software installed on each. I've tried deleting all of my music and some of my apps.
