Thanks.

#2 is answered by http://blogs.msdn.com/b/windowsstore/archive/2012/02/13/submitting-your-windows-8-apps.aspx

It's measured in days, not hours. I wouldn't think that is going to work for b2b except for general annual or semi-annual release points. Doesn't look like it will handle the releases between those points that occur when bug fixing and adding new features on a customer by customer basis occurs.

I didn't see a post that says metro-apps must go through the app store to get on a windows 8 machine. The answer to this is needed to know if metro-apps should be ruled out as possible candidate solutions for b2b. My gut says it would be insanity to have Windows 8 not allow direct installation of metro-apps but future planning needs more certainty. I'm missing an obvious statement somewhere.

Until some actual details come out it's all a bit speculative though. Hopefully news on this won't be too far away as it's pretty crucial to anyone planning on the possibility of Metro LOB applications.

You create a batch file from VS11 and you can plop it onto a tablet or PC that has VS11 Express. But of course an end machine shouldn't need VS11 Express at some point, but it should be easy enough to side load.
