Coffeehouse - Is there a way to disable certain Visual Studio updates?

I like the fact that VS warns me of new updates, but I can't seem to disable or ignore some of them. For instance, I have no interest in using HTML/JS to build W8 apps, yet every couple of days VS tells me that there's an update called Visual Studio Extensions for the Windows Library for JavaScript available. Is there a way to get rid of updates you don't need or want but still be notified when new ones arrive?

It's possible that they're treated as general VS updates and you can't pick apart individual updates to install. I actually enjoy knowing that VS is up to date. Maybe what really needs to happen is for the updates to be smaller/silent - it takes almost 5 minutes to install each one and you can't really do anything until they're done.

I thought the update it was trying to download -was- the extension. That's why I didn't want it. Uninstalling now, thanks for the heads up!

Edit: wait, no, there's a snag. It has an install button, but it's unclickable. And the extension manager says I have to uninstall the extension via Programs and Features... but it's not in there. So it looks like some sort of mandatory extension I don't want but have to keep updated.

Coffeehouse - Is there a way to disable certain Visual Studio updates?

Huh... that's very odd. I knew I saw a clickable button for this yesterday, so went to check again. Sure enough, a clickable "Uninstall" button is there, though I don't want to click it to find out what it would do. Then I noticed right below this extension there's another extension with the same name! And indeed, this one has a disabled button. Something's fishy with my installation.
