His blog has been down for over a week. I wonder if it was hacked or if Joe zapped it himself.

IIRC joeduffyblog.com migrated to a new blog engine recently, maybe there are some problems with the new configuration, hope he can be notified about it.
Thanks for the report. I've let Joe know.
It looks like he just got it working.
I was just going to check it but still down. Getting an "Error establishing a database connection" error. It would be great if someone could let him know.
I hope this website is not dogfooding the system he is working on
Maybe he should move to Azure
Wait...is felix9 Mary Jo?
or is Charles just making a point?
And was Ballmer as dreamy as he sounded
hmm..... if only Mary Jo can write C++ code
p.s. down again.
yes its down, again, and again ....
Guys, really sorry about this.
As Charles mentions, my blog upgrade was a complete disaster.
Thanks to the holiday downtime, I finally had time to address the problems, hopefully for good.
I suspect I've lost a significant fraction of my readership, however I intend to blog some interesting tidbits in the months ahead which I hope will reclaim back some of it. See: http://joeduffyblog.com/2013/12/27/csharp-for-systems-programming/
Thanks for the patience!
Wow. That's a great way to end the dry spell, Joe
A language based on C# that incorporates some of C++'s good parts (did I read that right? You've added destructors to C#? Right on, man). Intriguing. Thanks for sharing. We all were wondering what you were actually up to beyond Mary Jo's and Felix's hypotheses - you know, what you are doing in the real. Now we know.
This is particularly cool:
I dream of standardizing the ideas, so that the OSS community also does not need to make the difficult "safe/productive vs. performant" decision.
Looking forward to learning more and seeing where this project leads.
