Sorry you feel this way EvilD. I've always enjoyed our banter. I didn't mean for you or anyone else to take it personally. It's funny the way I see it the flaming comes from both side; both you and I included. I'd love for the discussions here to stay strictly technical and factual but unfortunately we're talking (and speculating) about the future and that leads to opinion. Because we're all very passionate about the technology we use it can easily turn into a flame war. I openly and wholeheartedly admit I'm at the center of a lot of it but that doesn't necessarily make me or any others that disagree with Microsoft's directions as of late to be the antagonists here. We just have a different opinion from those of you who consistently give Microsoft the benefit of the doubt. I'm always seeking the truth and when confronted with some baseless supposition I'll more often than not call people on it. Maybe I need to work on how I say it but that could be said for many of whom frequent these forums, haters and fanboys alike. EvilD I honestly wish you well and hope you find the peace you are looking for.

@DeathByVisualStudio: To be honest, if you think this is bad then you should spend some time in the Apple forums. There are threads that run for months complaining about the colour of sidebar icons.

@Ray7: Thanks Ray. I really hope that being on such a smaller scale we can do better than Apple um... people(?)

I don't see a problem with expressing negative opinions about MS and/or Windows 8, as long as they're justified. Personal attacks (seems like cbae goes here whenever beer posts) and pointless posts (e.g. raymond's political posts) are the things that need to go.
It is frustrating to see the same complaints come up again and again and have no response from someone on the Windows team. C9 members should be treated as VIPs, as they're interested enough in the next big things from MS that they regularly visit these forums. Their opinions should matter more than a random 13 year-old who downloaded the beta and posts on the B8 blog.

Why? Ignoring the fact that way too many here act like "13 your-old who downloaded the beta", why should someone on here be treated any different than anyone else? It doesn't take a genious to look at the posts here and realize the people here are NOT representative of the larger customer base. That doesn't mean our opinions should be ignored, but it certainly does mean we shouldn't be "treated as VIPs."

I've been lurking in this thread and not contributing much, because I think this is just the sort of thread that does not belong.
Rather then not participating in the threads EvilD mentions, he creates one of his own. That to me is kind of hypocritical. You can not blame others for actions that you take yourself.
My solution to threads you dont want to stay on top; stop participating, they will die faster.
So back ontopic, I like all threads that end up here. Negative, positive, about the weather, about politics, mildly interesting and hugly interesting. You take the good with the bad.
If the CoffeeHouse was only ment for minds that think alike, there would not be much to debate about.
Just my 2 coppers.
