I hope this good news turns out to be true. And if so a big THANK YOU out to the IE team!
Where is EvilD when you need him?

What's next, Java craplets, WildTangent, or Bonzi Buddy? On the plus side, since it is bundled with IE, I won't be prompted to update every month.
BTW, it sure seems like a pretty good excuse for bundling in Silverlight as well.
OTOH, it sure seems Microsoft is doing its damnedest to suck up to developers and users of non-Microsoft ecosystems at the expense of alienating those of its own:
OTOH, that could be a way some strange way to head off possible anti-trust complaints pertaining to bundling Office with WinRT.
Huh, MS said ImmersiveIE will be 'no plugin', now Flash is not a plugin but builtin so its OK ?
Yes, but I think it's obvious from the context what I meant.
When I say "bass" in this forum, it's obviously in reference to a frequent poster. (i.e. "one who posts" rather than one of these, that is. Also, obvious from the context.)
If it's here, then it's not.
I knew what you were saying from the beginning, I was just trying to segue from the ridiculous to the absurd. Anyways, are you sure bass is a fish? Perhaps he is the low frequency output of an audio system.
Ballmer must wake up every morning thankful that Jerry Yang was CEO of Yahoo! in 2008.
In all honesty, it looks like an interesting concept. But I'm not going to run out and buy an Apple product just to use it.
It's not a bad deal for Microsoft though, since it's probably powered by Bing. The carriers probably aren't going to be too happy about it though. It looks like it's going to be a bandwidth hog.
Oh come on now Josh they need to be better than their competition and this is a great way to one up Apple. It's not like the IE team is busting out built-in full screen HTML5 video playback. I guess they are better with old standbys rather than new standards.
I hope they add back some form of accelerators too (and no not via the share charm that is how many clicks or keyboard shortcuts away? Highlight, hover, accelerate… done.)
