You make a good point. Even though the full "Windows Live ID" was kinda clunky (not nearly as much as some of the other Live properties), "Live ID" is much better short hand than "Account". I can't see just calling it the later ever catching on. It's much too vague.

Then again I've had employees come to me claiming "my Microsoft is broken", so perhaps we'll all start calling it our "Microsoft".

The problem is that the Menu bar isn't enabled by default any longer. I enable the Command bar and the Favorites bar since they can exist on the same row, but I keep the Menu bar hidden. I use the InPrivate Browsing feature to get a second session.

They should have called it MSID.

@cbae: Just curious, what's wrong with the Alt key (or F10, or even Alt+F i) ?

Other than the extra steps? Nothing. It's just quicker to click the toolbar button for InPrivate browsing.

@cbae: Fair enough. I use the keyboard a lot, so that actually felt like a shortcut (InPrivate's is marginally less comfortable). Sorry for bringing it up.
