Isn't the "HTML5+JS" thing just to attract other developers. The "immersive" stuff is still relies on exported Win32 functions that are exposed to "normal" developers. So there's hope yet.
...but then we were told WPF had a native component, but look at how far that went.

I really laughed at this video. Good job. The truth is that the American Tanks are rolling in and they are powered by C++ apps running on windows embedded.

I liked that video too, saw it a month or two ago, whenever the D8 conference was.
The movie that it's from is excellent, btw. It's neat to see everything from Hitler's perspective.
