Not likely. Only file access, networking, and other CLI/servery stuff  would be portable. A Mac Office port would need Cocoa/Carbon and other higher level UI platform frameworks.

It's more likely (if this story is true at all) that MS has been keeping an internal build of Office working on top of WINE, just in case the mythical Year of the Linux Desktop ever comes to be.
