Yeah, there will never be a cure for stupid.
So the bogus emails are designed to weed out the saavy and only leaves the stupid to be manipulated through their additional emails... Yep, it's logical to write ridiculous in order to find stupid.

Scammers in Holland selling goods that don't exist, often claim to be from one of our small islands. As nobody ever takes the boat and the car to pick up the item and the supplier demands cash first payment.
They fooled my dad once with an expensive model train.
And they didnt fool someone else, he wanted to pick it up anyway.
But back on topic, the cure for getting rid of Negerian spam is to massively reply to the emails.
