		<description><![CDATA[<p>According to The Verge 'Modern UI Style'&nbsp; might well be the replacement name for &quot;Metro UI Style&quot;</p><p><a href="http://www.theverge.com/2012/8/10/3232921/microsoft-modern-ui-style-metro-style-replacement" target="_blank">http://www.theverge.com/2012/8/10/3232921/microsoft-modern-ui-style-metro-style-replacement</a></p><p>Personally I think 'Modern' is too generic a replacement for Metro,&nbsp;</p><p>I think I could live with something like <strong>'Fresh'</strong> as a replacement, also generic but less used in a technological context and could take on a relevant new meaning.</p><p>Bit late I know, but anyone have any other suggestions?</p>]]></description>

		<description><![CDATA[<p>OK&nbsp; (humor me <img src='http://ecn.channel9.msdn.com/o9/content/images/emoticons/emotion-5.gif?v=c9' alt='Wink' /> )&nbsp;&nbsp; so we would need a logo - this should do:</p><p><img src="http://www.jgrant.com/newstart2.png" alt="" width="467" height="213" border="0"></p><p>And everyone would ALMOST understand the new windows.</p><p>ISSUES TO BE ADDRESSED</p><p>- if you put your startbar on top - the flyout for &quot;NewStart&quot; stays at the bottom.</p><p>it needs to follow the customized choice around the screen corners</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>- I really dont see the harm in making a new start button - you click with mouse or finger - that isnt hidden.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>it still launches &quot;NewStart&quot; (old metro) but you dont have to think about where it is.&nbsp; If not - at least let the hot corner be where you put your taskbar (on both sides)</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>?</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>PS - the charms bar thing - the swiping from right doesnt work for me... it only works if i put mouse in top or bottom right corner.&nbsp; this will clash with above.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>maybe make it so corners are ALL for New Start - and sides are for new ALT-TAB (left) or charms (? dumb name) right - SIDES</p><p>pps - call charms Quick links</p><p>&nbsp;</p>]]></description>

(or whatever)</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>I remember win95 Start launch fondly - maybe many others do....<img src="http://www.jgrant.com/newstart3.png" alt="" width="600" height="355" border="0"></p><p>The start button was on every billboard in toronto</p><p><br>..but guess what it says<br>- all alone - big - top left in &quot;metro&quot;</p><p><strong>.... Start!</strong></p><p>Dont name a peach a pear.</p><p>Plus if your worried New Start - sounds like you were f*** for last 5 yrs... and now everythings gonna be ok... well... isnt it? wasnt it?</p><p>What will probably win (ha) is just calling it all windows.</p><p>which is fine...</p><p>good marketing perhaps for above</p><p>(thats how i explain it... the start menu is full screen - and it looks nice. thats it. click something = windows )</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>it makes even more sence when you think vista and win7 had NO START</p><p>*a tooltip flyout that says start - on hover - does not equal START <img src='http://ecn.channel9.msdn.com/o9/content/images/emoticons/emotion-5.gif?v=c9' alt='Wink' /></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>START is back!!! rock on!&nbsp; lol</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>EDIT - imagine if - where ever possible you could have 2 billboards side by side - youd buy them - and&nbsp; then run both side by side - the old original start ad - and a new one</p><p>priceless</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p>]]></description>
