@PeterF: Google SmartGlass. That would basically be a non-announcement, unless you're talking about an actual announcement for a new Xbox/tablet bundle which sounds far fetched to me at this time.

- A talking pocket Metro Clippy, really an enhanced USB drive with sound, one end with micro-USB so it works with WP7 too! Dare I say bluetooth enabled? Hands-free? A Clippy-clip for your shirt's pocket protector?

If it was new MS hardware then I think someone would have leaked it by now - unless it's something that won't be available for months.
It could be someone else's hardware carrying an MS badge, or some software/service thingy.
Well, I don't want to sit on the fence like an IT analyst, so I'm going to plump for Office for the iPad.
