WMP11 now has more of a selection of music stores, but this illustrates the disjointedness and inconsistency that Apple users don't like. The way MS implements a store in WMP is they basically stuck a web browser control in the WMP frame and put links to third party web sites where one can sign up to each and buy music, which may or may not work 6 months down the road if Microsoft decides to drop whatever distribution or rights management system those vendors all agreed to with Microsoft. Sure there's more choice, but it comes at the price of consistency, fluidity, and reliability. Apple users prefer things to work end to end -- sorry for derailing.
