NoDo is Coming Today ?

Why is it called NoDo?
Is it because seemingly Nobody is Doing anything?
-
Or is it because Omia7 owners like me shout "No, Don't upgrade me!"

Supposedly the name is from "no donuts", but I can't figure that one out either.
It's just a project name and therefore doesn't have to mean a thing. -
it means Nothing to Do with me.
I just need my VS2010 SP1.but I think mango tastes better than apples ...

@wkempf: Well rumor has it was called NoDo because of "No Donuts" and some tought it would be a stabb at the fact Google's donut update did even now not get deliverd to each Andriod phone.
But it was cleared (don't know by who anymore) that it had something to do with the lack of donuts on the first meetings of the team or something like that.

I wish it were coming today but I am having my doubts. I never even got the first update.

@JeremyJ:
Since carrier can only skip once in a row, yo will definitely get this nodo.
The carrier who did the previous one can skip this one.

Ok, NoDo start Today

According to Mary Jo Foley MSFT France says second half of March now. This is a complete and utter disaster, can I get my money back and get a diffrent phone? Many people bought into the platform with some degree of good faith that updates would bring some of the more obvious missing features and with greatly reduced carrier/phone vendor control the updates would come at some reasonable timeframe.. Now it seems Microsoft cant do anything right.
At Mobile World Congress Microsoft said First two weeks of March, well we are halfway through week two.The pre-update it appears is being held back by vendors like AT&T, as I cant find a single conformation of anyone on AT&T acutally getting the pre update, this is just ludicris. Whish that Microsoft would come out on thier Windows Phone team blog and just tell us what the heck is going on, instead of being all hush hush. Also what did Samsung do to thier phones/firmware that caused then to have a much highter failure rate for the pre-update than other vendors, so much more that the update was pulled for a few days only for Samsung hardware.

Yeah, this whole "we'll update it really fast with the magic of software!" thing is a disaster. I can't believe they dropped the ball this hard. I'm starting to wonder wether Paul Thurrot is right in that the multitasking/IE9 update won't be out until next year.

Android device owners would kill to have their updates delayed by only two weeks.

I did find my self wondering if one of the reasons for the pre-update was to force carriers that are less likely to deploy all updates into having to deploy the NoDo update, but I guess it works the other way as well.

The fact that it's worse on one platform doesn't make delays on other platforms fine. The aim should be being awesome, not being slightly less terrible than the competition.
